During 2007/8 the Rotary club of Hythe raised £3000 to finance the machinery needed for 3 new village corn mills.
These mills were set up in a partnership between Hythe Rotary and the Uganda church who supplied the buildings and who carry out the day to day administration of the mills based on a model provided by the rotary club. Currently both the charity and the Rotary club closely monitor income and progress on these mills. Since the construction of these first three mills the charity itself has set up a further mill in partnership with the diocese.
