Rotary Club of Hythe Kent

New President David Owen receives the chain of office from Outgoing President Dereck Hancock. The theme from both men was the was that everybody is valued.

Ouging President Derek thanked everybody saying "well done to every member of Hythe Rotary Club for your support loud and silent, your presence active and distant, your contribution great and small. Finally, in a Club of activists, I want to acknowledge those who are not able to do a great deal but come when they can, support what they do, and think about us often!"

President David continued the theme by saying that his message to any member who may feel that they are of less use to the Club than previously, is “Don’t worry! We ALL have a value to the Club; we ALL have at the core of our membership Friendship one with another."
He gave particular thanks to Past President Derek for his leadership over the past year, and thanked Reg Belcourt and his team for arranging such a splendid evening.

The evening was supported by 64 people including Chris Barnett, incoming Assistant District Governor for the South East
