The 20th festival of Round The Houses running was supported by near record entries and raised £1,700 towards youth projects in Shepway. Prizes were presented by Dr Jeremy Bunting of Smiths Medical International Ltd.
For 20 years Hythe Rotary Club has organised the Annual Races centred on Hythe High Street, raising many thousands of pounds for local charities. From an original idea of Roger McCrow of a semi professional race backed up by races for children of all ages, this event has evolved into an Annual Town Event for Children of all ages, backed up by a final 6K race for the adults. The day now attracts in excess of 500 entrants from the magical pre-school race upwards. The morning is full of fun, mixed with a competitive spirit, and the support of parents, teachers and friends.
Hythe Rotary Club would like to all of our sponsors, without who's support we could not stage the event, with particular thanks to our major sponsors; Smiths Medical International Ltd. and The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust.
