Rotary Club of Hythe Kent

Seven Rotarians and partners enjoyed meeting our friends from the Rotary Club of Abbeville, and sharing a splendid dinner. Even those of us with minimal French were delighted by the speaker, Pierre Schwinte. He is a most remarkable young man and it was good to be able to share his adventure to the "top of the world"!

Following a hasty departure we were able to take our booked Eurotunnel train with 10 minutes to spare. We now look forward to seeing our Friends from Abbeville once again for the Contact Weekend on 6-8 May.

Having proved that its posible for a day trip, we hope that some members from Abbeville will pay us a return visit in the near future.
